We created this graphic for the running group, BlacklistLA, to be printed on singlets for the team’s runners participating in the 2016 Los Angeles Marathon.
The client wanted a design for these t-shirts that felt iconic, that the team would be proud to wear, and that was reminiscent of the 1984 Olympics that were held in LA. Since the race is on February 14, they also wanted it to invoke both Valentine’s Day and their runners’ love for the city of Los Angeles.
We rose to the challenge, combining color, a heart, and the spirit of the 1984 Olympics to create two versions of the design that the runners could choose from. The designs were printed on the singlets for all members of the team, who proudly wore them during their race.
